Round Three: Your 'Circus' Reviews
Posted under Blog, Music on December 5, 2008
It's day three of your Circus reviews and today I'm posting your thoughts on "Lace and Leather," "Unusual You," and "Blur."
"Possibly my favorite song on the album, this song just makes me wanna do some bumpin' and grindin'! And any song that makes me want to to that has to be good! Sexy, fun, and some funky ass beats, what more could a guy want! -- Big Tee
I can think of some amazing choreography for this one!
A baseline that rocks and hard to sit still when you hear miss B blasting out of your speakers. Can't wait to see her doing this song live in concert! -- Giel
"I think this song is sexy, seductive with a sense of innocence, like the Britney i fell in love with ten years ago. It is also very enpowering to people that want to take control of their sexuality and I absolutly love this song, I can see Britney on tour taking someone from the audience and performing just for them in front of everyone. Totally HOT!!" -- Sam
"This song starts off with a bang! Brit starts to sing and you're instantly hooked. My personal favorite, this has a classic-pop feel, its fun and easy to dance to. "Lace and Leather" is one of the last songs on Circus, and it's definitely a good way to end the album." -- Stacie
"This song is one of the sexiest most feminine songs I've ever heard. It has a sexy vibe that's telling you that Britney is in control and she is here to turn you on... makes me imagine a sexy Brit looking at herself in the mirror getting ready to have a sexy night with a guy, and she is just describing herself and how she's gonna be in control tonight and how she's gonna put on her lil show just for this guy to see what she can do, and how she can be in control of his mind and body, and make him feel what hes never felt before. Definitely a girly song, sexy and very feminine." -- Stefany
"'Heels six inch make a boy want to bite his lips'" I love it. You are so right Brit and this is such a fun jam, either for singing alone while getting ready for the night or in the car with friends. I love the somewhat eighties beat that encompasses the song. A song like this reminds me of the Brit I have always known and loved, it's fun and that's what she is, fun!" -- Andrew
"Such a beautiful song. This song is about a love that I truly hope Britney finds one day. It's no secret that she has been hurt in the past in her relationships and I feel like she drew from those experiences for this song. Her voice sounds so vulnerable and amazed at the fact that she has someone in her life who has not hurt her like others in the past. The lyrics are so heartfelt and it easily became one of my favorites". -- Jeneen
"'Unusual You' is by far the most touching song on the album. It has divine beauty, and really show another side of Britney; it's a very deep song, and I'm absolutely in love with it. It's explained so many relationships for me." -- Chris
"This song reminds me so much of Imogen Heap. The style of it and Britney's voice in it makes me think of Imogen. It just goes to show you that Britney can pull off ANY type of music and knock our socks off! She is amazing." -- Charlie
"With brilliant production of galaxy-like proportions, Brit sings, for a change, about the guy who sticks around. After all the disappointment, what is there to say when you find the one who doesn't break your heart? The media shows us she doesn't have this man in her life right now, but the great thing about this song is that Britney shows she BELIEVES it!" -- Bret
"I can't quit listening to this song! The melody is addictive. The lyrics are beautiful and tragic at the same time. Reminiscent of the In the Zone Days. Hope she keeps pumping songs like
this out." -- Douglas
"The vocals and music of this song give me goosebumps. Every time I hear it, I get lost in Britney's voice. The music just consumes my body and I forget where I am. A lot of people think it's a touchy subject, but you know, it happens to people. We're all human." -- Ashley
"I really feel this song isn't so much about some mysterious one night lover one wakes up to after a night of wicked partying, but rather is a metaphor for the past 2 years with everything that she went through. Its like everything was a terrible party-gone-wrong that she couldn't pass out from, and when she finally wakes up, she's like "What the heck happened last night?" She's looking back and can't believe she lost herself." -- Phoenix
"This song really reminds me of "Early Mornin' from Britney's "In The Zone" album. Its like a continuation of the song, just better! It has very good lyrics and a good beat. And even though they blocked the two curses in the first verse, you still know where she's coming from."-- shawtigotcurvs
"Simply awesome! Any college girl gets it, unfortunately. Haha!" -- Melissa
"Blur": Wild.Night.Out, waking up hung over, and not really knowing what happened, the lyrics are very raw, very straight, and very real, and the music is very much like a morning music, soft slow kinda lounge back music. A Short Perfect Song to Describe The "Next Day" Feeling... This is what happens after a "gimme more" night out. ("Gimme More": meaning wild edgy and fun - Stefany
