Britney and Nine Inch Nails Share Rehearsal Space

Posted under Blog on February 12, 2009

Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is speaking up about sharing a rehearsal facility with Britney while both prepare for their separate tours.

Trent.jpg
"I can hear the thumping low end of Britney Spears. It's been a treat having them here the whole time we've been here."

In response, Britney's manager, Adam Leber, says "Brit has been sharing the same rehearsal space with NIN for the past few weeks and they are getting along famously. Maybe we should ask Trent Reznor to remix Circus?"

What do you think, Trent? Up for the challenge?

I think this is just sarcasm on both sides as well. I don't see it happening. I can see Trent working (a big maybe) with artists like Peaches, Ladytron or Dresden Dolls, but not Spears.

Although I like Britney and it would be strange yet interesting, Trent, please don't !!!

Yes! I and will dedicate it to the fans who insisted I was being a sarcastic because they couldn't bare this remarkable experiment.

Trent Reznor is a GOD. For him to work with Britney would be strange for sure, but it might be interesting! I'm sure something good would come out of it.

A friend of mine said that Trent Reznor often listened to Britney's music to get pumped up for shows; particularly during the Fragility tour...is there any truth to this ?

As an avid fan of both, I'm taking a cue from David Failkips , I believe a mashup of NIN's 'Down in it' vs. 'Womanizer' would be nothing short of fantastic.

"Most joked that they wondered what a tour like that would look like. Some even said Britney was even more metal than Trent!"

lol Trent is not even metal, have you ever listen to NIN? Loud does not = metal, and NIN isn't that loud. Trent often jokes on how he won best metal performance Grammy's for songs that are not metal.

"He is God! for him to team Britney would be interesting. Definetly not something odvious. However if you go http://ninblogs.wordpress.com/ there they have been working on something top secret. Can this be a hint?!?!"

No those are pictures of Trent Working with members of Jane's Addiction

I was curious about the re-action. Browsed some hardcore metal sites (people that listen Morbid Angel etc.)

The reaction was pretty postive. Sure there where a few hertic naysayers in the minority.

Most joked that they wondered what a tour like that would look like. Some even said Britney was even more metal than Trent!

I haven't listened to metal much lately. Kinda like that movie SLC punks. Trade in the metal for a Brooks and Brothers suit.

I must say though listening to recent music lately, almost all of it has been great. Espically Brit.

Ehh. Look, I'm not trying to burst your bubble or be rude, but the interview that was taken from starts with the author commenting on Trent's dry sense of humor... I believe he's being facetious.

NIN and Britney? I give that a thumbs up. That is prety messed up. While I would prefer Dave Mustane or Tom Araya, I would defintly listen to this.

David knows what fans on both sides are feeling ! Though in return for Reznor's production skills, Britney should definitely teach him some moves.

Trent has always been a great fan of Britney's work; even when she first rose to stardom he spoke of his admiration of her work. Can't wait to hear this remix if its happening !

Trent remixing or collaborating with Britney Spears would be a long time dream come true. And NIN and Britney should cover each other. NIN doing "Stronger"? Britney doing "Happiness in Slavery"? EP time!
