I must admit, I'm not the biggest Britney fan, but her "Circus" is one of my favorite albums. I just found out what "If you seek Amy" means and I have to say- genius lyrics! Naughty, but not explicitly so, and it does create a fake persona to hide the hidden meaning of the title, but that's what makes it so well thought out.

The music is still great but the last few years have incredibly changed her performance skills. I'll be perfectly honest. I've never been a big Britney Spears fan (a little too pop-commercial for my taste); but this album DEFINITELY has my attention. Of the 3 songs I've heard so far, this one takes the cake. The rhythm and sound are fantastic, but the lyrics are what take this one over the top for me. So far, Womanizer is still my favorite video, but this one runs a close second. This album is on my top 10 list to purchase. Way to rock it out, Britney! YOU ARE ON FIRE!!!!!

Britney is basically playing on the fact that the media wants to see her strive to be this perfect mother figure, when in reality, she isn't changing. She is the character "Amy" (although it is plainly obvious that "Amy" is used to play on words). The character represents Britney's party-girl persona. The perfect mom persona is the facade that she is consistently forced to put on in the public eye. But, as much as the media wants her to be perfect, the public will always be secretly looking for Amy to come out and play <3.
