Stage-to-Street: 'Circus' Look
Posted under Blog, Fashion, Photos on March 10, 2009
Loving Britney's tour costumes? Then you will love our new series: Stage-to-Street. BritneySpears.com will be taking all of Britney's awesome concert costumes and turning them into everyday outfits complete with ideas, prices, and where to find the pieces of these tour-inspired street looks.
1) "Lucky" Leopard Feather Headband / LovMely ($27) - This is a great way to incorporate Britney's furry shoulder pads and tiger headress into your look.
2) "Olivia" Toggle Peacoat / Forever 21 ($44.80) - To get Britney's 'Circus' look, you're definitely going need a nice red
jacket. Tail coats are a little over the top for most people's everyday
outfits, so this would be perfect for this winter season.
3) "Mogul" Black Patent Lace Up Ankle Boot / Michael Kors ($197.50) - These are a lot shorter than the ones Britney wears while performing 'Circus,' but they embrace the same trend and will be a lot more comfortable. A BritneySpears.com insider spotted several pairs of boots just like these backstage during rehearsal.
4) "Drew" Braided Waist Belt / Forever 21 ($9.80) - A fun, new trend being seen a lot on the runways is putting different belts on jackets with belt loops. You can give your outfit an extra kick of color by doing this. This braided belt also really captures the texture of her 'Circus' jacket's golden accents.
5) Lamé Black Shiny Leggings / American Apparel ($42) - These are the hottest leggings on the Hollywood scene. With these, you can get the same fluid texture as Britney, but with more coverage. If you want the look to be a bit more Brit, cut off these leggings right above the knee (American Apparel leggings are made so that they can be cut to your preferred length), then SAVE the remaining legs (you will put these to use in the Stage To Street: 'Freakshow' look coming soon).

The Circus is my favorite Britney look. I love the different textures used and the bright red is fabulous on her. I like the black mixed with a small touch of animal print with a nice punch of red. The ring master coat is awesome. When she wears it presents a since of authority!
