Britney Spears Holds Contest To Find Her In New York
First fan to find Britney on Monday using Twitter clues will win front-row Circus tickets.
By Jocelyn Vena
Britney Spears has landed in New York for her a string of stops on her
Circus tour at Madison Square Garden this week. And on Monday (August
24), the singer is holding a little contest to win two front-row
tickets to her show, which will also feature opening acts Jordin Sparks
and Kristinia DeBarge.
For the contest, which she posted about on her Web site and on her Twitter page, fans must follow Spears' tweets, as well as tweets by New York radio station Z-100,
for clues about where they can find the pop star around the city.
Britney herself will hand the tickets to the person who finds her.
"I found my hiding spot. Can you guess where it is?" she wrote on
Twitter on Saturday. And on Sunday, she added, "I'm going to be hiding
somewhere in Manhattan....HAHAHA!!!"
Z-100 is also helping fans with their hunt for the VMA-nominated singer. "@BritneySpears will
be wandering around New York Monday with stuff you'll want, where will
she be? It's on, Britney seekers!" a tweet on Z-100's Twitter page
reads. "Narrowing it down! Will you be the one to find Brit Monday?"
Spears kicked off the second leg of her tour last Thursday (August 20)
in Canada. The Circus tour, which includes three nights at the Garden
this week, will continue through November when she'll finish with a
show in Australia. Stay tuned all week for MTV News' coverage of
Britney's latest visit to New York.
