Nick San Pedro Does 'Circus' Style Britney

Have you guys ever seen the art of Nick San Pedro? He's so incredibly talented! I love watching this video of him painting Britney in her 'Circus' best. I'm not very artistic, so it amazes me how he can transform a blank canvas into a beautiful painting of Brit!

You can check out Nick's art at his official website where you can buy one of your own Nick San Pedro originals or prints. My fellow bitches and I can't decide which Britney painting we should get for our office. Let us know in the comments which one you like best.

Fan Video Roundup!

I'm convinced that Britney fans make some of the best videos out there, so I'm going to share my favorites with you all from time to time. This week I found a couple gems I think you'll like!

I'll be the first to admit -- I'm a HUGE geek. So when I saw this Stormtrooper rocking out to 'Circus' I knew it had to go on the site. Those are some pretty sweet moves! ;)

And do you remember Richard Mills? He made another fantastic video for New Years to the tune of 'Circus.' It's ON FIRE, and I think you'll see what I mean when you watch.

Holiday Leftovers: Circus Surprise

We received so many 'Circus' videos that I decided to post the ones I liked that weren't chosen during the first round. I also found a few on YouTube that I can't help but watch over and over again and wanted to share. :)

A couple of these vids are remakes of Britney's official video that were outstanding. I also threw in a couple dance videos for good measure. And don't fret, my little sweet tooths (sweet teeth?). I also have some leftover dessert too -- an amazing acoustic cover of 'Circus' for you!

Project Circus: Round Two

It's time for round two of 'Project Circus.'

I was impressed by the first installment we received of your Britney tour costumes, but this second batch may be even better. The pic above was one of my faves from the bunch. I love the colors in the dress: the red and yellow circus stripes with the sexy purple and black top section and cream ruffles. Gorgeous. I would totally wear that dress myself! Do you happen to make dresses too, Alana? ;)

Circus Goes Platinum!!

You know how we said 2009 was going to be the year of Britney? Well, it looks like it is already working out that way for our girl.

According to RollingStone.com, Circus has gone PLATINUM in the United States!!! That means over ONE MILLION albums sold!! Circus already got the big bling in Australia, but it's awesome to see her do it in her home country.

Congrats, Brit! We knew you could do it, and we are so proud! :)

Derrick Barry Brings The Circus To Vegas

Unless you've been living under a rock, you are probably aware that here at BritneySpears.com we have a rather big soft spot for Britney impersonator, Derrick Barry.

Derrick recently wrapped up a Circus promo tour in Cali and Las Vegas to coincide with the release of Britney's album last month and I wanted to share his performance of 'Circus' and 'Womanizer' with you. The vid was filmed by celebrity artist Nick San Pedro.

Blast From The Past: New Year's 1999

Britney performed '...Baby One More Time' at the turn of the millennium in Spain in as part of TVE1's New Year's Special. Can you believe that was nine years ago already?

This makes me laugh because I thought the world was going to end at the millennium -- and there certainly would have been no better place to be in that scenario than watching Britney perform!

'Tis the last day of 2008 and it's almost time to put your party hats on, crank 'Circus' up as loud as your speakers (and neighbors) will allow and pop some champagne corks. I'm usually in bed by midnight on New Year's (party animal, me), but this year I will be right by the DJ booth requesting all my favorite Britney songs.

If you were gonna throw Britney a New Year's bash to celebrate her success this year, what theme would you pick?

Britney's Hot Year: Things Keep Looking Up!

Britney has made tremendous strides this year in what isn't really a comeback because she didn't go anywhere! Britney's music was only part of her impressive year. Here is a recap of the rest of Brit's exciting 2008!

Britney really caught people's attention this year when she made a guest appearance on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother on March 24. Her appearance gave the show its highest ever ratings, and it was no surprise she was invited to guest on a second episode that aired May 12. She was later nominated for a People's Choice Award for the role.

Britney's New Year's Resolutions

As I sit here fiendishly biting my nails, I got to thinking about New Years resolutions, and recalled Britney's recent GLAMOUR mag interview in which she opened up about her own resolutions.

'I would like to stop worrying so much, because I worry all the time. And to learn how to be happier, just in general. I have to learn to take things not so seriously. And to stop biting my nails!' Britney told GLAMOUR magazine.

Although she admits: 'I end up breaking them. It's hard.'

Well I have a genius solution for those of us who find resolutions impossible to keep (a.k.a. those with will power as lacking as mine.) Keep it simple... all you nail biters out there, allow yourself one fingernail to bite. Ha. Sure it'll look a little weird but while the others grow you can ween yourself off.

I feel like Dr Phil here. My advice is just as shabby. LOL.

I know it was only a couple days ago that we asked for your Britney tour costume designs, but I couldn't wait to get your amazing ideas up. Some of you guys got really creative with this one. Keep them coming and we'll put the best of the best up on the site.

I can't wait to see how close your designs are to the real thing. March can't come soon enough.

Britney's Year in Review: Music!

2008 was such a whirlwind year for Britney's music. There is no better time to sit back and reflect than now, with 2009 right around the corner. Here is a quick little recap of ALL the amazing things Britney did in her professional music career this year.

In the very beginning of the year, Britney's third single 'Break the Ice' from her fifth studio album Blackout was released. The song reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. The music video debuted on TRL on March 17 featuring a very sexy anime version of Brit.

On September 7, Britney won THREE MTV Video Music Awards in the categories 'Best Female Video,' 'Best Pop Video' and 'Video Of The Year' for 'Piece of Me.'

Just a week later, Jive released a statement announcing the title of Britney's sixth studio album, Circus. The first single, 'Womanizer' was released on September 26. On October 15 the song jumped to number one, breaking records in the process.
